Your project agreement comes first.
If a signed estimate, proposal, contract, or change order contains terms that differ from this general policy, the terms of that signed project agreement will control for that project.
1. Deposits
- A deposit may be required to reserve scheduling, purchase materials, or begin a project.
- Deposits become non-refundable once work has been scheduled, materials have been ordered, or project-specific costs have been incurred.
- Any deposit terms shown in a signed estimate, proposal, or contract are part of the project agreement.
2. Cancellations
- Before work begins: If a project is cancelled before work starts and before materials or other project-specific costs are committed, a partial refund may be available after applicable administrative or incurred costs are deducted.
- After work begins: Once labor has started or materials have been purchased, the customer is responsible for work completed, materials purchased, and other costs incurred for the project.
- Cancellation requests should be made in writing whenever possible so the effective cancellation date is clear.
3. Refunds
- Approved refunds will generally be processed within 10–15 business days after review.
- Completed work is not refundable simply because a customer later decides not to proceed with other planned portions of a project.
- If you have a concern about completed work, contact Footer to Ridge promptly so the issue can be reviewed under the applicable project agreement.
4. Change Orders
- Changes requested after a project has been approved may affect price, materials, labor, and scheduling.
- Additional work should be approved in writing before it is performed whenever practical.
- Approved change-order costs are the responsibility of the customer and become part of the project total.
5. Materials & Special Orders
- Materials purchased specifically for a project may not be returnable or refundable.
- Restocking charges, return shipping, supplier fees, or other material-related costs may be deducted from any refund when applicable.
- Custom, special-order, cut-to-size, or otherwise project-specific materials may be non-refundable once ordered.
6. Weather & Unforeseen Delays
- Construction schedules can be affected by weather, material availability, site conditions, inspections, supplier delays, and other circumstances outside normal project control.
- A schedule delay by itself does not automatically create a right to cancel or receive a refund.
- When a delay materially affects the project, Footer to Ridge will communicate the situation and adjust scheduling as reasonably necessary.
7. Work Already Performed
Amounts due for completed labor, installed materials, delivered materials, demolition, preparation, project-specific purchases, and other approved work remain payable even if the remaining project scope is later cancelled.
8. Questions About a Project
Because construction projects vary, the most specific refund and cancellation terms may be included in your estimate, proposal, contract, invoice, or approved change order. Contact us before cancelling or changing a project if you are unsure which terms apply.
